TIRANA, April 30/ATA/- The draft law “On payment services”, which was approved today in the Parliament marks a significant progress towards Albania’s European integration process, creating the foundations of interconnections between the Albanian and European payment market.
Also, this law meets a number of objectives provided in the action plan of the National Strategy for the Small Value Payments Market and the commitments of the Bank of Albania in the National Strategy for the Diaspora.
According to the Bank of Albania, this law will significantly assist in the modernization and efficient development of the domestic payments market. The purpose of the law is to create a legal framework for the functioning of payment services in the Republic of Albania.//a.i/
