TIRANA, April 26 / ATA/ – By A. Fortuzi/- The schedule for withdrawal of biometric passports and ID cards has been extended by two hours, from 08:00-16:00hrs.
Deputy Minister of Interior , Rovena Voda, through a video message, said that since two weeks the relevant offices have delivered biometric documents and ID cards. Voda adds that the operating schedule will be extended to 16:00 from until 14:00hrs it was during the period of restrictions.
“For two weeks now, the Ministry of Interior has started delivering biometric documents, ie identity cards and biometric passports, in all distribution offices in the territory of Albania. I want to let your know that so far the distribution of these documents has continued normally “, – Voda emphasized.
“Citizens are notified via SMS about the schedule when they must show up in application offices to withdraw passports or identity cards, but please comply with the safeguards, according to the message that comes to your phone. Citizens should be equipped with protective masks, gloves and maintain distance in the offices where they will come by to withdraw identity cards or passports. During these two weeks the operating schedules have been 08:00 to 14:00, starting from this week the schedule will be extended to 16:00 hrs so that we have the opportunity to cater to the citizens and within a short time to distribute the remaining amount of identity cards and passports, ” – Voda said.
