TIRANA, April 25 /ATA/ Mati mayor, Agron Malaj, stated on Saturday that the citizen diagnosed with COVID-19 is a sporadic case that has been isolated. Meanwhile, the authorities are on standby to monitor the situation.
A few hours after detecting the first case of COVID-19, the mayor of Mat, Agron Malaj, told ATA that the virus has been contracted in Fushë-Kruja.
“It is a sporadic case that has been locked down. Unfortunately, a 16 year old girl has tested positive for COVID-19, whereas six other members of her family have tested negative and there are no problems whatsoever,” he said.
Malaj reported that the municipality structures have taken all the measures to deliver essentials and necessary medications to the family.
“The regional directorate of public health, municipality of Mat have designated medical professionals to cater to the family in Batër e Vogël, Komsi,”Malaj said.
The mayor assured the residents that there is no room for panic because the situation is being monitored by the experts.
