TIRANA, April 13/ATA/ -In the port of Durrës, the work is underway for handling of goods brought by sea to the largest port in the country.
The Durrës Port Authority said that, “In the port today there are being handled 5 merchant ships with 18,000 tons of goods like wheat, melamine, coal, pipes and scrap”.
According to the Port Authority, two ships with a total of 13,200 tons of wheat are in queue, while loading and unloading teams and electric cranes have been in operation from 5.00 to 13.00.
The drastic measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 have been applied in the largest port of the country, too. The port of Durres remains Albania’s main gateway for import-export at this quarantine time./k.s/p.s./
