TIRANA, April 6/ATA/- In the domestic foreign exchange market earlier this week, the Albanian lek continued to strengthen its position against foreign currencies.
According to the official exchange rate of the Bank of Albania, the Euro depreciated today by 1.10 lek compared to the weekend.
The declining trend against the lek is marked this Monday by other currencies.
Thus, the US dollar is exchanged at 116.10 or 0.84 lek less than the day before.
The British pound is trading at 142.93 lek with a decrease of 1.36 lek and the Swiss franc depreciated by 0.79 lek, being exchanged at 118.88 lek.
According to market players, fluctuations in the foreign exchange market are addressed to supply-demand, which has changed in recent weeks due to the situation of COVID-19, reflecting fluctuations in the foreign exchange market.
