TIRANA, April 5 /ATA/ – By A. Fortuzi/ Minister of Defense, Olta Xhaçka, appeals for investigation as soon as possible of DP charges in connection with the food supplies’ tender.
Minister of Defense, Olta Xhaçka, has reacted on Sunday following the criminal charge that DP filed against her with the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution over the food tender.
“I welcome the DP’s move to file the charge and encourage SPAK to investigate it because today the citizens need clarity more than ever. DP is totally right to say that it is criminal and totally immoral for a minister to take advantage of the pandemic,” Xhaçka said.
But it is just as nasty and immoral if the opposition of a country in wartime not only does not contribute to the joint effort to beat the enemy and save lives, but continues fabricating the Babale –like scenario in an attempt to sabotage the war and undermine our joint effort to weather the invisible enemy! ” underlines the Minister of Defense
“I leave it up to SPAK to throw light on this issue with the speed that the wartime situation requires. I have acted in line with the law and procedure and I am sure that at the end the citizens will understand that this charge is nothing short of Babale –like scenario.”
The Democratic Party has filed a criminal charge to SPAK today claiming abuses with the predetermined tender of food supplies worth EUR 1.5 million. Among the persons facing charges are Minister of Defense Olta Xhaçka, members of the Bid Evaluation Commission at the Ministry of Defense, the company “EUROVIA” administered by Emir Shefiti and the company XPERT SYSTEMS administered by Renald Gova.
