COVID-19/ Meta: Citizens should observe all instructions

TIRANA, April 4/ATA/-President of the Republic Ilir Meta invited all the citizens to strictly observe the instructions and restrictions made public due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, because as he put it, “this is in our common interest”.

“In this way,” Meta underlined, “not only do we protect our health, but we also help doctors and health personnel, who are sacrificing and putting at risk their own health for us.”

Meanwhile, he added, “it is important that every act of the Council of Ministers that is approved in this situation, should be subject to a deeper assessment in advance, in proportion to the situation that necessarily dictates their approval.”

“Every measure taken must be in line with the general public and national interest, and in harmony with the hierarchy of applicable norms, so that the adoption of restrictive measures does not jeopardize the creation of new social and judicial conflicts,” said Meta.

“The restrictive measures must be in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Albania and the laws in force, but also respond only to the need and urgency to cope with the state of natural disaster announced by the Council of Ministers,” said the Head of State.

“The closer cooperation between citizens and institutions is the main guarantee for the most efficient coping of this pandemic for all,” concluded President Meta./gj.mima/ej.p//r.e/p.s./
