TIRANA, March 25/ATA/- The meeting, which maintained a very constructive and cooperative spirit, aimed at unifying all human, medical and scientific energies and capacities to cope with this global pandemic to ensure the protection of citizens, national security, public peace, public health, the President of the Republic Ilir Meta said after the video conference of the Security Council on the current COVID-19 situation in the country.
During the online video conference the President Meta reiterated his request for the coordination of all institutions as well as the cooperation of all parties to cope with the COVID-19 situation.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Edi Rama, DP party leader Lulzim Basha, the Minister of Defense, the Head of State Intelligence Service and more.
The COVID-19 pandemic has deeply affected the lives of Albanian citizens, leaving many out of work. So far, a total of 123 coronavirus cases have been confirmed and five people have died, while the country remains under lockdown.//a.i/
