TIRANA, March 24 /ATA/ – The Austrian Foreign Ministry welcomed Tuesday the decision of the EU member states to open the accession talks with Albania and North Macedonia as a breakthrough and good news for Europe.
“Finally a breakthrough and good news for Europe. EU members agreed on opening accession talks with Albania and North Macedonia,” the Federal Ministry of the Republic of Austria said in a statement.
“An overdue, but a well deserved step, which strengthens urgently-needed European coherence,” the statement concluded.
The Ministers of EU Affairs unanimously agreed to open the EU accession negotiations with Albania and North Macedonia earlier today.
