TIRANA, February 26/ATA/-The Durrës-based Maritime General Directorate appealed today to operators and crews of ships to avoid maritime incidents due to worsening weather.
“On February 26-27-28, 2020 the weather will get worse. Our coast will be covered on February 26, 2020 by a southwesterly wind up to 27 knots, 2.3 m above sea level, and on February 27-28, 2020 the wind direction will change west, northwest rapidly up to 31 knots and sea level 3.9 m ”, – reads the announcement of the General Directorate of Maritime.
According to the Directorate, the deteriorating weather will extend across our coast. It is expected that by noon on Friday it will get worse.
“As always, we are informing you to prevent any unexpected situations due to weather conditions. But we also seek the cooperation of all entities operating in the field of maritime, to take all necessary measures to secure the means at port and increase the readiness of the crew on board of the vessels,” said the Directorate-General for Marine./k.s/p.s./
