TIRANA, Feb 21 /ATA/ – By Maela Marini/ “The Accelerator for Innovation and Competitiveness is a direct investment to harness the tremendous potential for development of the economies of the Western Balkans region.”
This is what Prime Minister Edi Rama stated on Friday at an event organized at the House of Europe by Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) and the World Economic Forum (WEF) on accelerating competition and innovation in the Western Balkans.
PM pointed out that “integration into the European Union is a merit-based process for each country, but the conception that is already emerging with the new methodology and approach that Europe as a union will have towards us as individuals will be way more interconnected with our capacity to interact with others .
Therefore, Rama said, the more examples of our successful cooperation we deliver to EU, as is the accelerator taking place here and not in EU, the more EU will respect our individual efforts and think to admit us.
“The World Economic Forum has the 4th industrial revolution on its agenda. The advantage is that this time this will happen in any country, no matter how developed and large the country is. Through the opportunities to make these breakthroughs that come only from technology, we will hold 3 meetings to come together with the support of the World Economic Forum and start with the Accelerator for Innovation and Competitiveness, ”Rama said.
PM said that this is not a direct investment on something that is visible, instead it is a space for minds, goals and cooperation to create networking and make sure that in a non-traditional sector as is the new technology we will make it to harness the extraordinary potential to the advantage of our economies.
