TIRANA, Feb 21/ATA/- The Albania Justice Minister Etilda Gjonaj has reacted to the President of the Republic Ilir Meta statement who said that, he will file a criminal complaint with the Special Anti-Corruption and Organized Crime Structure (SPAK) as well as a resignation request, as the Minister has abused her office.
“I am ready to respond legally, taking all the responsibility, and pride in being part of the Justice Reform Front, the world-renowned denigrants of this vital reform! As for the resignation, the master does not have the power to demand mine or someone else resignation, but only his,” Minister of Justice said.
Gjonaj considered the president’s criminal report a folly.
“I salute the President who, after several public appearances without ethical equilibrium, has chosen to address SPAK to press charges against me, it’s a folly, but at least he is following an institutional way. He’s addressing an institution which has come out of the reform which he’s fighting so fervently. I am ready to provide legal answers,”Gjonaj said.//a.i/
