Increase in demand for loans to household in 2020

TIRANA, Jan 21/ATA/- Lending standards for households have been eased in the last quarter of 2019, mainly for home lending.

The Bank of Albania published Tuesday lending survey in the fourth quarter of 2019, reporting that, credit standards for consumer loans remained unchanged during this period.

In the first quarter of 2020, banks are expected to ease the standards for loans to households in both categories (home lending and consumption).

According to the survey, the factors influencing the terms and conditions of lending to households were reported almost the same as in the previous quarter, with the exception of competition in the banking system, the increase of which is estimated to have acted as a mitigating factor in the general terms and conditions for lending.//a.i/
