All 20 billion for reconstruction does not affect investments

TIRANA, December 19/ATA/-The 2020 budget allocates all the funds needed to alleviate the earthquake consequences and start a recovery process.

As foreseen in the official budget document 2020, the reconstruction fund of ALL 20 billion as well as the lease bonus of ALL 1 billion does not affect investment in the country’s priority sectors, thus enabling the financing of all projects that were envisaged to be implemented in context of economic growth and financial stability.

“The best way to improve the situation in every family affected by the earthquake is to go ahead with all the projects envisaged before the country was hit by the earthquake of November 26,” said Minister Denaj in her speech at the plenary session of the Assembly.

The economic growth in 2020 is projected at 4.1%, driven mainly by domestic demand such as consumption and investment.

The public investments for the year 2020 are in the amount of 4.7% of GDP or 83.8 billion ALL.

The planned expenditure is aimed at finalizing national road projects and support the water, health, education and agricultural sectors./a.gjonaj/ /a.g/p.s./
