TIRANA, Dec 6 /ATA/- At the today’s extraordinary cabinet meeting the Albania Prime Minister Edi Rama called on the Minister of Justice Etilda Gjonaj and the Laws Commission to provide as soon as possible the special law “On Reconstruction” within December 19 after a 6.4 magnitude earthquake hit the country on November 26 which killed 51 people and injured hundreds of others while, thousands more were left homeless.
“The Process of Reconstruction must be coordinated by the Albanian Development Fund,” the Premier Rama stressed.
This is a very short time period given its complexity and, I am aware of the fact that normal processes would take a lot longer. The main government objective is to submit the special law “On Reconstruction” at the last plenary session of Parliament, Dec 19 with relevant parameters maintaining the necessary control, flexibility and transparency for a review process.//a.i/
