TIRANA, Dec 4 /ATA/ – By Arlinda Gjonaj/ Following the call of PM Edi Rama that construction companies which have built apartment blocks that have suffered damage, not structural one, should fix them themselves, there are 18 ones so far in Durrës that have expressed readiness to start repair of apartment blocks.
Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Ilir Bejtja, in an interview with ATA pointed out that the appeal of PM prompted a positive reaction. The number of companies that responded to the call was 14 yesterday, today it grew to 18, which have preliminary information that their buildings are repairable and as such they should undergo an intervention.
To that reason, he said, Institute of Construction along with the municipality and Territory Development Agency have taken measures that the projects for rehabilitation of buildings should be included in the system to get the development and construction permits approved by the municipality before construction works.
Every step should be taken in compliance with the law since verification entails fulfillment of conditions and standards, Bejtja said.
