TIRANA, Nov 29 /ATA/ – By Maela Marini/ Laçi has been also included in the range of emergency state in the aftermath of powerful earthquake that hit the country causing a tragic death toll and significant material damage to the dwellings.
PM Edi Rama announced on Friday morning at the extraordinary govt. meeting the CoM decision to declare the state of emergency in Laç.
“The takeaway after the discussion with Minister of Interior who has inspected the area and Minister of Culture who is closely following the situation as part of her assignment with the National Reconstruction Committee about the situation of the buildings, is that the earthquake in Thumana has caused damage to a number of buildings in Laç prompting the inhabitants there to move to the tents set up n this area,” Rama said.
PM added that they will be treated in the same way as others and in result the emergency range decision will apply to them.
I share the same view with the head of opposition that Laçi should be included in the emergency range. From now on the affected area in Laç will be included in the same programme so that no one in Laç should be excluded or placed in a second category of attention,” Rama said.
