TIRANA, Nov 26 /ATA/ -President of the Republic, Ilir Meta, visited on Wednesday the former marshland area in Durres, where he stopped at Lala family.
For the time being the earthquake -affected inhabitants should not be deprived of the basic amenities.
“We are doing the utmost. Our priority is to rescue the people trapped under the earthquake rubble, an operation which was so far rendered possible thanks to the unsparing assistance of international search-rescue teams from Romania, Croatia and beyond. Second, we will assist the people who are unable to go back to their dwellings which have sustained serious damage. We need to address the situation as part of the earthquake recovery plan,” he said.
