TIRANA, November 25/ATA/- During the today’s meeting the High Prosecutorial Council (HPC) approved by 11 votes in favor the draft laws on the appointment of the first eight Prosecutors to Special Structure Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) as part of the establishment of the new Justice Institutions.
The eight Prosecutors appointed to SPAK are, Altin Dumani, Arben Kraja, Behar Dibra, Edvin Kondilli, Elida Celami(Kaçkini), Ened Nakuçi, Enkeleda Millonai and Klodian Braho.
SPAK Prosecutors will serve a 9-year term, having no right to reappointment. Thus, Law No. 96/2016 “On the Status of Judges and Prosecutors in the Republic of Albania” states that “The mandate becomes effective after the oath-taking ceremony will be held before the President of the Republic. The Council should be informed about the date of the oath which will be also included in the personal file ”.
During the HPC meeting, it was announced that this decision will come into force on December 19, 2019 and will be published on the official website of the Council of Ministers.//a.i/
