TIRANA, Nov 20 /ATA/ President of the Republic, Ilir Meta, received on Wednesday the chairman of High Prosecutorial Council, Gent Ibrahimi, at the request of the latter.
The Chair of High Prosecution Council briefed the Head of State on further steps and coordination between all institutions involved in the process of Special Prosecution constitution.
President Meta assured Ibrahimi of his unsparing support for successful completion of the constitution of Special Prosecution (SPAK).
President Meta assured the head of HPC that regardless of reservations about the anti-constitutional election of short-term attorney general and delays in constitution of these new institutions, he would fully support this process in order for the key bodies of criminal justice to become functional as soon as possible.
In this regard, President of the Republic will fulfill any obligation in accordance with the law and spirit of Constitution.
