TIRANA, October 30/ATA/- Prime Minister Edi Rama attended today the launch event of 5G technology in Albania, an initial investment of 150m Euros from Vodafone.
According to him, 5G technology, “is a tremendous opportunity to mark epochal transformations in economics, finance, energy, transport, agriculture, health, education and services to citizens as a whole”.
“It’s 2019, just a decade from beginning of research in the field of 5G and fortunately one of the advantages of developing countries is that they can make big and fast leaps. That is why the launch of 5G technology puts Albania on the map of the most advanced countries in this field ”, said PM Rama.
A decade ago, the country found itself at a big disadvantage but, “present-day Albania is transformed into a country with a considerable advantage if compared with other countries with which we do not compare from the scale of development”.
“The ‘Vodafone’ Company, which I hope is the first, but not the only one on this road, is based on the simple truth that the economic environment enables an experience so courageous and ambitious for the future,” said PM Rama.
Further on, the prime minister tested the operation of 5G technology in driving a car./a.g/p.s./
