Tirana, Oct 21 /ATA/- Declaration of employees in the scheme of social insurance and declaration of real salary will be at the centre of operational plan against informality for the rest of 2019.
The sectors such as call centre, custom apparel and construction have the highest number of employees and inspections over compliance with their obligations deriving from labor legislation will focus on these three sectors.
Director of General Tax Administration, Delina Ibrahimaj, and chief inspector for Labor and Social Insurance, Arben Seferaj, went on a field visit to an entity operating in the sector of call centre.
Ibrahimaj pointed out that until the end of December the entities with the highest number of employees will be checked over declaration of employees, salaries and compliance with tax legislation.
“We have identified the call center, custom apparel and construction sectors, as the ones with a high number of employees. Referring to the risk analysis conducted by General Directorate of Taxation, there is a total of 292 taxpayers operating in the area of call center, 61 of them have no employees, 130 taxpayers have 1 to 10 employees, 88 have 11 to 100 employees and 13 have over 100 employees. Today we are on a spot visit at a subject that has over 80 employees and we aim to verify whether these employees and their salaries have been declared. The focus is to fight informality by compelling businesses to declare employees and pay social security for these employees, as much as their real wages, ”Ibrahimaj said.
