TIRANA, Oct 8 /ATA/ – The Socialist Party MP Ervin Bushati voiced Tuesday his confidence that the European Council will decide to open the EU membership talks with Albania at its meeting on October 18, stating that the country’s European integration is the governing majority’s priority.
“Albania’s European integration is the ruling majority’s primary mission and it is our job as a governing party to catch up with European integration process. Adoption of the Bundestag’s resolution was great news. The vote in favour of Albania was inspiring, because the Europe’s doors are now politically open,” Bushati said on a TV interview.
The Socialist lawmaker also commented on the latest political developments and the parliamentary elections in Kosovo.
“Our relations with Kosovo can only further improve. We have both fraternal and state relations with Kosovo. We are a nation in two states and this opens us new horizons for economic and social development,” Bushati said.
