TIRANA, Oct 3 /ATA/ – Minister of State for Diaspora, Pandeli Majko, stated on Thursday that time has come to discuss amendment of the Constitution adding that whoever walks out of the system will have to put their electoral existence at risk.
Speaking in plenary session, which is focused on draft resolution that supports the opening of EU accessions talks with Albania, Majko condemned the decision of opposition to walk out of parliamentary life.
Minister Majko said that participation in the system is the only way out. Time has come to discuss the amendment of Constitution, stipulating that whoever abandons the system will face the end of electoral existence. Whoever thinks that involvement in politics is about taking advantages will end up restraining themselves from opportunities. DP should come back to parliament,” Majko said.
The minister also touched on the friction between the parliamentary and out of parliament oppositions.
“Today there are two oppositions at play in this situation. The one in parliament reacts nervously to any opportunity of dialogue with the one outside. The extra parliamentary one has tested the legitimacy of political system in the country,” Majko said.
