TIRANA, Sept 21 /ATA/ The Academy of the Armed Forces, as of next school year will have its “Bachelor” system, thus paving the way for a radical change in the military education system in our country, preparing young soldiers as in NATO countries
Brigadier- General, Associate Professor Bajram Begaj, in an interview with the Albanian Telegraphic Agency, said that the Armed Forces Academy is an institution that trains future leaders to manage our country’s armies, but also to exercise the military profession in other NATO allied countries
As the head of the institution of the Armed Forces Academy, I express my full conviction that the Military Academy, as the only military institution responsible for training, education of officers, military and civilians working in the armed forces, is a educational institution like all other higher education institutions in the country, which must meet the criteria to be in compliance with the Law on Higher Education.
“Under this law, – said Begaj, – as an educational institution, subject to certain conditions imposed by the British Accreditation Agency, we need to acquire a special status of the institution, due to the fact that the Defense Academy conforms to certain specifications pertaining to the Armed Forces, as the Academy of Law, the Academy of Sports or the Academy of Arts.
