TIRANA, September 13/ATA/- The Parliament of Albania held the first meeting for presentation of the online Inter-Institutional Platform.
The Inter-Institutional Platform is a step taken in the spirit of increased Parliamentary scrutiny promoting a transparent system and a more efficient assessment of implementation of recommendations by independent institutions from the executive and subordinate agencies.
The online platform will be periodically updated with recommendations from independent institutions as well as information from government institutions (which will have a “contributor” role to this platform). The platform will not only be monitored, but continuously evaluated by the Assembly through the Independent Institutions Monitoring Service, but will also be accessible to the public.
Other meetings are scheduled, until this platform becomes operational.
Participants in the meeting were representatives of the Ministry for Relations with the Parliament, the Supreme Audit Office, the Ombudsman, the Competition Authority, the Commissioner for Protection from Discrimination, the Commissioner for the Right to Information and the Commissioner for the Supervision of the Civil Service./gj.mima/ /a.g/p.s./
