Berat will mark 75th anniversary of liberation during Second World War

TIRANA, September 11/ATA/- Berat Municipality has begun preparations to mark the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Berat on September 13 with a marathon of activities.

Mayor Ervin Demo said that, “the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Berat is just two days away. Everything is getting ready for the activities marking this important date”.

In this context, he added that there are measures taken to rehabilitate the Martyrs Cemetery and the monuments associated with this date.

He also said that there is work underway to restore the national flag to the “Tabia” quarter as the existing flag was completely out of technical terms and conditions. The depreciated pillar even posed a danger to many visitors,” said Demo.

“On September 13, the flag, already in the right shape and size, will be waving on the 20-meter-long spear”, concluded the Mayor of Berat./a.g/p.s./
