TIRANA, September 9/ATA/- On Tuesday evening, Albania will play against Iceland in context of 2020 European qualifiers.
Coach Edy Reja said during the press conference that Elseid Hysaj will be the captain.
“When I arrived I had the 3-5-2 scheme in mind and we are applying it. I like this scheme because the team defends but also attacks. With 2 strikers and players of midfield wings we are more present in the opponent’s area. It’s not just the schemes that matter, but the ones that apply them, too,” said Reja.
Further on, he added that, “The match with Iceland will be our most decisive challenge, it will show whether we will pursue our European dream. If we do not win, we will minimize the chances of qualifying. We will play three home matches, so we need to use the field factor. The calendar favors us to do our best. We will play our best on the field,”said Reja.
Meanwhile, Hysaj said that the players come to play with the national team because they love the red and black colors. “I ask the fans to be more careful and I want to tell them not to hide behind the computer to criticize and insult the national team players. Of course, someone will make a mistake, but we do not come to play with the national team for money, nor because we are obliged.
