60 Albanian citizens repatriated from France

TIRANA, August 28/ATA/-The operation for repatriation of Albanian nationals who have applied for asylum or have violated the rules of residence in the Schengen area is continuing.

According to a State Police report, 60 Albanian nationals were repatriated by a charter from France, within the framework of a joint European flight organized by France and Frontex, and with the support of the Albanian escort as 20 of them had applied for asylum and 40 others for irregular stay in the EU countries.

The repatriation operations will continue in the coming weeks and in this context, the State Police appeals to all Albanian nationals traveling to EU countries to abide by the rules of movement in the Schengen area, as well as to refrain from seeking asylum, as they have zero chance of asylum being granted.

At the same time, the Border Police at the checkpoints will rigorously continue the controls in order to verify the documentation and fulfill the conditions for traveling to EU countries./j.p/p.s./
