TIRANA, Aug 23 /ATA/ – The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Tirana extended a special reception to Albanian students and graduates from the Chinese universities.
The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Albania, Zhou Ding attended the reception hosted for the Albanian excellent students who have been awarded scholarship to study in China. The event included former students who have been graduated from Chinese universities over the years and decades, becoming a guide to the young Albanian students enrolled in various universities in the Asian continent.
“I am very pleased to be here with the Albanian excellent students who have been awarded Chinese government’s scholarships for the 2019 academic year, and join with the Albanian friends of different generations who have attended Chinese universities. For me, this is the first time I meet with such people and a consider this event a large family reunion meeting,” Chinese diplomat said in his remarks.
“Every student travelling to China is a kind of a holy missionary. You travel between China and Albania on the board of our friendship boat, bridging the two friendly countries despite the geographical distance,” he said, adding that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Albania and China.
