TIRANA, August 21/ATA/- The Directorate of Consular Affairs in the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Representative Offices of the Republic of Albania in the world have continued their work in full capacity even during the summer season being at the service of the citizens.
The Acting FM Cakaj said that during the period 1 January – 21 August 2018 in the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs were carried out 246,186 consular services.
“This figure has doubled during the same period in the current year offering 442,054 consular services,” said he.
Further on, Cakaj added that the Consular Service of the Representative Offices, during the period January 1 – August 21, 2018 performed 51 635 services while this current year 89 691 services were provided.
“Due to the increased attention in improvement of the quality of services to citizens, the work of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs during 2019 marked a record figure in provision of consular services. These services include: visa issuance, lost documents, IDs, special power of attorney and notary statements, family and birth certificates, child registration, ID cards and passports, among others!” said Cakaj in his post./p.s./
