TIRANA, Aug 21 /ATA/ –By I. Vata/ – The Assembly of Albania announced Wednesday the start of application procedures to fill a vacancy in the country’s Constitutional Court.
The Parliament of Albania, pursuant to the Constitution and the law on the organization and functioning of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania, as amended, and after evaluating the decision by the Justice Appointments Council to notify the Parliament to consider reopening of the call for applications to fill the vacancy in the Constitutional Court, a provisional vacancy announced by the Assembly on 28.08.2018, announces the reopening of the vacancy application procedure for 1 (one) member of the Constitutional Court, with aimed at filling the “provisional vacancy” created due to expire before the legal deadline of judge Fatos Lulo’s term.
“The request for expression of interest along with the required documents must be submitted by September 15, 2019,” the Assembly clarified.
