The road segment Zall-Bastari- Vasha Bridge about 22.9 km in length, is of great importance and passes through a difficult topographic territory.
Arbër Highway will have 6 bridges in total, but one of the tallest and most important one in the country is the Vasha Bridge which passes through the Mati River and has a length of 398 meters.
The Vasha Bridge connects the two tunnels T5 and T6 to the two mountain slopes.
The entire part of Arbër Highway that is to be built is 54 km at length, in which the concessionaire has realized about 28% of the works.
Arbër Highway passes through the Tirana District – in the Administrative Unit of Zall-Bastar and through the Murriz tunnel, the road passes to the territory of the Klos municipality, and specifically to the villages of Drezë, Xibër, Shkallë, Fshat Village. After the exit from the Qafë-Bualli tunnel the road passes near the bridge of Cerenec, as well as to the right of the village of Shupenzë.
This road links the eastern and northeastern regions of Albania by improving the transport of residents living in the areas crossed by the road crosses, as well as provides transportation of underground natural resources such as chrome from Bulqiza to the port of Durrës, to be later exported.
Also, this road axis will be the shortest route connecting Tirana with Dibër, as well as with the north of Macedonia, Dibra e Madhe, Tetova and Skopje, so it will be an international connecting motorway.
According to the contract the road is expected to be completed within 44 months, but the road will be built by spring 2021.//a.i/
