TIRANA, Aug 5 /ATA/ – By I. Vata/ In the first half 2019, co-governance platform “shqiperiaqeduam.al” has handled roughly 17,725 cases of which 10,625 ones have been settled .
Publishing statistics for the first 6 months this year, PM Edi Rama points out that co-governance is not a slogan but a communication bridge between the govt. and the citizen, an effort to break down barriers between the citizen and the state official, a new approach to exercising the power.
“Co-governance is not a slogan, but a tiring daily effort to break down barriers which for decades have been created between the citizen and state officials; the barrier of neglect from the side of pseudo official towards the citizen requesting paperwork; the barrier of state official trampling on the citizen in exchange for bribes; the barrier of official on the counter trampling on the rights of citizens!, Rama says.
Likewise, PM says that “ Co-governance platform is a linking bridge between us over the heads of pseudo officials, the river of excuses, delays, refusals of administration; is a mechanism pitting us against the evil deeply embedded in the body of administration for decades; is a space joining the forces of citizens and govt. to benefit through thousands and thousands invisible battles the citizens with them settling “minor” problems and the govt. identifying the origin of their issues and freeing the administration body from the parasites in the official’s disguise.
“Co-governance is a new approach to exercising the power, of course it does not sit well with some citizens and bureaucrats. However, this is the right and useful pathway we should follow. Yes, it takes perseverance and patience to pave it,” Rama says.
Co-governance has been a successful govt. model with thousands of citizens addressing the platform and thousands of cases settled so far.
According to statistics, in the first half of 2019 roughly 17,725 cases were dealt with while 10,625 were addressed. At the central level, 15,257 cases were dealt with while 9,276 were addressed. At the local level, 468 cases were dealt with and 1,347 addressed. Outstanding cases addressed are 289 in total.
