382 therapeutic tele-consultations in six months

TIRANA, July 31 /ATA/- In the first six months of 2019, there have been conducted 382 therapeutic tele-consultations.

The Compulsory Healthcare Insurance Fund provided the figures adding that consultations have become simpler than ever before.

Patients receiving reimbursement of more than 8 insulin pens per month no longer need to come to Tirana to receive free reimbursement, because through Telemedicine, consultations are conducted at the regional hospitals.

Patients receive the service near the residence without having to register for a consultation date and then get the sign and stamp at the “Mother Teresa University Hospital Centre” to receive free insulin if more than 8 pens of insulin.

There are more than 32,000 patients treated with insulin nationwide, which is 100% reimbursed by the state.

“It’s simpler than ever. 382 Therapeutic tele-consultations during the first 6 months of 2019”, said Compulsory Healthcare Insurance Fund. /z.tosku/p.s./
