TIRANA, July 29/ATA/- The total volume of goods transported by sea (loaded and discharged) at Ports, in June 2019 accounted for 413 thousand tons, increasing by 48.9% compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the Albania’s Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) report.
In June 2019, the total volume of goods transported by air accounted for 188 tons, showing a 7.3% increase compared with the same month of 2018.
Meanwhile, the number of flights carried out in June 2019 reached 2 626, showing an increase of 13.5% compared to the same period of the previous year.
The number of sea passengers, in June 2019 accounted for 146 895, increasing by 10.4% compared with the same month of 2018.
In June 2019, air passenger transport accounted for 66.7% of total transport.
The number of passengers traveling by air, in the first six months of 2019 reached 1 411 479, increasing by 11,1% compared to the same period of the previous year.//a.i/
