TIRANA, July 18 /ATA/Parliament approved 16 draft laws in the last session of this legislature.
At the end of discussion, parliament passed the draft law on several additions and amendments to law 7895, dated 27.1.1995, “Penal Code of the Republic of Albania,” amended. The changes stipulate more severe sentences for violence against doctors, police forces, including crimes related to sports and counterfeiting in the food sector.
Amendments to Penal Code were passed with 96 votes pro and 11 against as well as one abstention.
Construction of two roads Milot-Ballderen and Orikum-Llogara was also approved by parliament.
MPs passed the amendments to law on Public Private Partnership according to which unsolicited proposals are limited to national roads, the bonus for these proposals is scrapped and Ministry of Finance will exercise tight control on all stages.
The Assembly also approved draft-laws “On Civil Protection”, some amendments to the Law “On Wildlife”, draft law “On some additions and amendments to law no. 10242, dated 25.2.2010 “On Institute of Studies for the Crimes and Repercussions of Communism in Albania”, the Draft Law “On some amendments and additions to law no. 115/2016 “On governance bodies in the justice system”, the draft law “On some amendments and additions to law no. 96/2016 “On the Status of Judges and Prosecutors in the Republic of Albania”.
Parliament passed the draft law “On ratification of the loan agreement between the Republic of Albania, represented by the Ministry of Finance and Economy (the borrower), Albanian Development Fund (project implementation agency) and KFW Frankfurt am Main for water supply program in rural areas IV “, the draft law” On some amendments and additions to law no. 125/2013, “On concessions and public private partnership”, as amended, the draft law “On Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Albania”, “On the Legislative Initiative of Citizens in the Republic of Albania”, the draft law “On some amendments and additions to law no. 9975, dated 28.07.2008 “On National Taxes”, amended – initiative of MPs.
The Assembly approved the draft decision “On some amendments to Assembly decision no. 166, dated 16.12.2004 “On approval of the Rule of Assembly of the Republic of Albania”, as amended, the draft law “On Amendments and Additions to Law No. 9636, dated 6.11.2006″ On Protection of Health from Tobacco Products ” , the draft law “On social assistance in the Republic of Albania”.
