Cakaj: Albania demonstrating credibility, capacity for effective international action

TIRANA, July 10 /ATA/ – Albania is increasingly demonstrating its state credibility and capacity for effective international action, the acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Gent Cakaj said as he attended the informal ministerial gathering of ministers of foreign affairs and other high-level representatives of the OSCE’s 57 participating States in the High Tatras, Slovakia.

Cakaj said that the gathering “mainly focused on discussions of participating states on effective practices of conflict prevention, management and solution and the effective multilateralism in general.

The meeting – Cakaj went on saying, “was particularly valuable to inform OSCE participating states over Albania’s preparations to assume the OSCE chairmanship in 2020, focusing on three main areas: political, human, logistic and financial resources.

“As part of the Troika and in its capacity as the Chair of the Mediterranean Group, Albania is increasingly demonstrating its state credibility and capacity for effective international action. Albania has the undisputable capacity to take over the leadership of the 57-member Organization, responsible for a number of political-military, economic-environmental and human rights and fundamental freedoms from Vancouver to Vladivostok,” Cakaj added.
