TIRANA, July 5 /ATA/- The High Judicial Council opened competition for members into the Supreme Court.
“We shall determine the rules for the candidates who are not judges and that we shall propose to the President for members of the Supreme Court. 1/5 of the members will be experienced lawyers with 15 years of experience who have not had political functions in the last 10 years, “said head of the High Judicial Council Naureda Llagami.
“This draft act on the manner of ranking candidates for the supreme court is one of the most important and has an impact in implementing this reform. We are aware of how the people were previously appointed in these courts, “said member Dritan Hallunaj.
The Supreme Court will have 19 members, while non-judges will constitute only 1/5 of the troupe. Currently, the Supreme Court has remained with only two members Xhezair Zaganjori and Ardian Dvorani./p.s./
