TIRANA, July 1/ATA/-The ballot counting process has finished in the municipal unit No 1 in Tirana where the candidate of the Socialist Party Erion Veliaj, who is looking for a second mandate, has got 9327 votes while the candidate of the Democratic Conviction party Arben Skënderaj, 611 votes.
While it is expected certification of the result, the Socialist lawmaker Elona Gjebrea said that the process was successful because the elections were up to the standards.
“The competition would have had more adrenalin if there were more candidates, but this was also an opposition choice and we are not to blame”, said Gjebrea./gj.mima/ /a.g/p.s./
