TIRANA, July 1/ATA/- Ambassador Audrey Glover who leads the team of OSCE/ODIHR observers for monitoring of June 30 municipal elections in Albania stated today that, “The political actors should not work on behalf of only those who support them, but on behalf of all the sides”.
During a press conference in Tirana, Glover presented the preliminary conclusions on the local elections of June 30 in Albania adding that, “The final report will be issued in 2 months time”.
This report, she said, “will carry recommendations and the ODIHR would be satisfied to continue to support the authorities with their implementation”.
“We wish Albania success with resolving the political disagreements and demand from the political actors to work on behalf of all the citizens of this country”, said she.
Glover concluded by saying that, “There have been recommendations even about the previous elections, but I am afraid that the most of these recommendations have not yet been implemented”./j.p/p.s./
