TIRANA, June 30 /ATA/- The process of voting in all polling stations across the Republic of Albania has officially kicked off.
From 07:00 hrs through to 19.00hrs, the Albanian citizens will vote to elect 61 mayors in the country.
Local elections are being monitored by 150 observers of OSCE/ODIHR as well as missions of foreign embassies in our country.
On the field to guarantee a peaceful and orderly election process, the State Police have engaged 7779 effectives, of whom 5876 will guard the facilities where the polling stations sit in and 1450 will be on standby to guarantee an orderly election process.
