TIRANA, June 24/ATA/-The vice Chairman of the Central Election Commission Denar Biba reacted to the decision of the Electoral College to consider invalid the presidential decree cancelling the June 30 municipal elections.
“The Electoral College, the top legal election institution in the Republic of Albania and whose decisions cannot get complaint, left in force the decision of CEC considering absolutely invalid the president’s decree”, said Biba.
Thus, the CEC decision to go ahead with preparations of June 30 municipal elections was legally correct although a part of the politicians didn’t like it from the political viewpoint, said Biba./gj.mima/ /a.g/p.s./
