PM Rama: Socialists will not take a step backwards to waive their right

TIRANA, June 23/ATA/- The time when the socialists used to withdraw under the pressure and threat of the Democratic Party is over and gone, the Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama stated during the meeting with the residents of Përmet in the light of the local elections campaign.

“The Socialist Party will not take a step backwards on path to its goal and waive its right to continue working in order to permit the local elections to take place on June 30 as planned, “the Premier Rama stressed.

“This is not a new scenario. It’s been 30 years since we got used to the same scenario of the Democratic Party, who believed that resorting to force and putting pressure on the SP, would force the socialists to withdraw,” the Prime Minister Edi Rama stated.//a.i/
