TIRANA, June 19 /ATA/ – By Maela Marini/ “Parliamentary elections will be held in 2021 and parliament should not be prejudged as long as it is the same parties that have filled the seats in parliament.
This is what PM Edi Rama stated on Wednesday evening, pointing out that “Snap elections can happen in two cases: Either when you lose the support or intrinsic motivation to continue in government, or when you want to catch the rival off guard,” Rama said.
PM added no way should we hold snap elections to comfort them. The solution is tough, however the time is ripe for this choice, because easy elections have proved to lead us to nowhere as in 2017,” Rama said.
With regard to parliament, Rama said: I have no control over it. We have the majority of parliament, however the new MPs have not been brought in by me.”
