TIRANA, June 19/ATA/- During a television interview, the Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj stated that, it is a victory for Albania that in the European Commission report, has not been taken into consideration the current political situation in the country.
In his speech, Cakaj emphasized that, “in October the EU will move towards a positive decision to open accession talks with Albania, but the opposition behavior is an additional obstacle on the road to a positive decision.”
“The EU member states strongly condemn the behavior of political groups in Albania, but up to now, they have not issued a statement that this behavior is going to deprive Albania of the possibility of opening of accession negotiations. But, of course, the current political climate in Albania does not contribute to the positive prospect for the opening of accession talks in October, “Cakaj said.//a.i/
