PM Rama in London, Justice Reform to provide maximum guarantee for investors

TIRANA, June 18/ATA/- Strengthening regional cooperation and opening a new chapter by creating a new Schengen area within the Western Balkans, will bring greater opportunities for the region, the Albanian Prime Minister Rama stated.
The Albanian Prime Minister attended on June 18, 2019 in London the Western Balkans Forum organized by the Financial Times under the theme “Investment Opportunities in a Fast-Growing Region.
“I think our potential lies in regional cooperation and interaction and I am very convinced that if we are smart and determined to strengthen our regional cooperation and open a new chapter, simply by transforming this obsessive border security policy and history into a new approach and creating a new Schengen area within the Western Balkans, as well as transforming the boundaries caused by political disagreements into fluid meeting points, we will no doubt be more open to greater opportunities and we will be able to explore a valuable part of our untapped potential, “Rama stated.
The Prime Minister, Edi Rama emphasized that we are living an interesting time. “We are experiencing important reforms within the region, while there are clear evidences on the changes undergone so far. It is clear that , this is not enough, “the Prime Minister Rama stated at the beginning of his speech.
“We are working hard to implement the justice reform in Albania, in order to strengthen the country’s position and offer both its citizens and investors a guarantee and maximum level of productivity. At the same time, we know very well that we should combine the contribution of natural gas and hydroelectric power,” the Prime Minister Rama emphasized.
“We also need to take care of tourist investments along the coastal areas. Recently, we have received very good news from Shell company, who had discovered a very important high-quality oil reserve, which promises a great perspective in this regard. Also, Albania has planned other important coastal investments in oil and gas pipelines, which I hope will be materialized soon, “ the Premier Rama said.
In his speech, the Prime Minister emphasized that, “according to statistics, the tourism sector is growing year by year. We are achieving positive results with the aim to reduce the unemployment.”
“As the World Bank mentioned in last year’s report, Albania has achieved good results, but it is clear to us that, what we have done is not enough and we need to do much more to achieve our goals faster,” Rama added .//a.i/.
