Dhërmi promenade: Project that has transformed beach in Southern coast

TIRANA, June 18/ATA/- Dhërmi’s promenade, one of the recent investments realized in Himara municipality, has completely transformed the beach in this part of the Southern Coast, one of the most attractive tourism spots in Albania.

Foreign tourists from different countries such as Poland, Russia, Czech Republic, Italy, Germany, France, Ukraine, Belarus, Macedonia, Kosovo Albanians have chosen to take a holiday and enjoy the wonderful Ionian sea and everything that the nature and people offer  in this part of the South Coast of Albania.

In the evening, the promenade is full of people and so are the numerous bars along it. This is a direct indicator of this project that was launched last year to get transformed into a nice reality for holiday-makers, residents of the area and numerous tour operators.

Dhërmi is located on the shores of the Ionian Sea, between olive groves and citrus groves and is a place of a magnificent beauty. Dhermi is at the end of more than five kilometers long beach that ends on a hill on the top of which stands the monastery of St. Theodore. The village consists of three quarters: Kondraqa, or Kallami, which is the first quarter for those coming from Llogora; followed by Gjileku – second quarter and Dhërmi – the third and largest quarter, which has also given the name to the village.

The village of Dhermi is located 52 km south of Vlora, 72 km north of Saranda and about 210 km from the capital, Tirana. Dhërmi is part of the Himara municipality, the emblematic areas of Albanian tourism./e.xh/ /a.g/p.s./
