TIRANA, June 14 /ATA/-The Central Election Commission (CEC) reacted today against the opposition mayors who are abiding by the president’s decree cancelling the June 30 municipal elections and are demanding a stop of the electoral process.
The CEC spokeswoman Drilona Hoxhaj said that these mayors are violating the Electoral Code and they will be held accountable according to the legislation in force.
The spokeswoman warned that CEC will take actions so that to remove every obstruction or stance that hampers the smooth progress of the electoral process on June 30./e.xh/j.p/p.s./
