PM Rama: Whoever tries to destroy elections will pay dearly

TIRANA, June 12 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama warned Wednesday that “whoever would dare and attempt to destroy the electoral process on June 30 will pay dearly.

“The law stipulates that whoever dares to affect and destroy the process on the local election day will pay dearly. The same goes about whomever tries to block the activity of any electoral subject,” the Socialist leader said addressing his party supporters at an election campaign meeting in the town of Lushnja on Wednesday.

The government head reminded that “dozens of people who decided to follow the crowd and threw Molotov cocktails at the door of the Prime Minister’s office are already paying dearly, while the four politicians (Lulzim Basha, Sali Berisha, Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi) are sleeping peacefully in their own homes.”

Rama reiterated that whoever dares to destroy elections would be sent to prison and will be banned for life from entering Italy, Greece, and other EU member states.
